The Globe's story on the institutional venality of the state's
transportation infrastructure was written by Andrea Estes.

For those of you keeping score at home, she's the reporter that
did all that research and wrote all those stories about Sal
DiMasi.

How did that work out for him?

In other words, a tough competent journalist (sorry Sarah
Schweitzer) with a confirmed track record. And it looks like
she's on a walrus hunt. Who knew there were any adults left
at the Globe?

Gotta wonder what happened over there on Morrissey Blvd. This
kind of thing is definetly not in line with the paper's editorial proclivities.

Go get 'em, Ms. Estes. And don't spare the harpoons.

Hey Deval, now would be a good time to use your Obama connection to get some of that Reinvestment Act stimulus money to fix the T. Isn't that what it's meant for? I don't think Harvard, MIT or the area hospitals are going to be too happy when their staff members die in a preventable derailment or fire (I'm surprised the numerous track fires haven't caused any serious injuries so far). The lawyers filing wrongful death suits will LOVE it though, and all the documentation via this report of how dangerous and preventable it really is.
