Giant turkeys terrorize Brookline (again)

Last year, sharp-clawed turkeys attacked the good citizens of Brookline. Then the coyotes chased them away.

Now the turkeys are back. And this time, they mean business.

Turkeys in Newton

By Leigh (not verified) | Wed, 08/15/2007 - 11:47am

I saw two turkeys out for my walk in Newton/Chestnut Hill a few weeks ago! I hate birds (and horses) - skittish and scary - so I tried to ignore them, as if, of course, walking in the Boston suburbs routinely puts me in contact with wild fowl. Eeek.

(Of course, then I flew to Gulfport, MS, where my hotel was known for the peacocks that roamed the grounds, and the tree frogs and bullfrogs were about as noisy as the Green line that goes by my house every night.)

Nature. You can have it!
