Saturday, October 18th, hundreds of residents "spotted" the duo knocking on doors in Roxbury and Dorchester. Is that Sonia whatever-her-name-is? And is that MC Spice? The conversation is sparked, and the pitch to get support at the polls is made. Residents are wowed to have Ms. Diaz at their front door showing her normality and human side. Most were especially glad to see an old friend of the community supporting the Democratic nominee for state senate.

This Friday, October 3rd at 1 p.m., WBUR will be re-launching its weekly local news/talk program, Radio Boston. We've got a new in studio host, award winning journalist Jane Clayson, and David Boeri will continue as field host of the program. Ruth vows to never again listen to Boston's newest generic station: She calls to complain about their new format and they edit her comments and play them on the air as congratulations:

My statement goes like this: "I just wanted to say that I do not like the new format at all. The music is great, some of which I haven't heard in years... But, the station now lacks personality. The announcements are obnoxious. I really miss fast Freddie, Ralphie & Karen and Lady D in the afternoon. I just love 'em! Bring back the dj's, I don't like this."

When I called in the message said they may use our comments on air. I hung up, I thought, Well they certainly won't use my comment on the air.

Well, this morning, I thought I heard my voice on the station. I did! But MIKE93.7 fm took parts of my message and made it sound positive..I heard," The music is great, some of which I haven't heard in years. I just love 'em"

I am so angry that I will never have anything to do with this station or WRKO again as they are not an honest establishment.
