Boston Restaurant Talk reports that the owners of Our Fathers deli, which closed on North Harvard Street in Allston last year, plans to move into the space Tasty Burger is leaving on Boylston Street in the Fenway to move around the corner to Van Ness Street.

Brookline Police report finding a camera installed in a restroom at Zaftig's on Harvard Street, after getting a tip yesterday from WFXT. Police add:

Upon arrival at the restaurant, police were informed by the restaurant management; they were not to talk to us and were directed to talk to their lawyer. Detectives have started an investigation. Based upon the tip and preliminary information that has been obtained, the incident happened a few months ago and an employee was involved who no longer works there.

Wicked Local Brookline reports the late Joan and Ed's in Sherwood Plaza will be replaced by an outlet of Brookline-based Zaftig's.

The MetroWest Daily News reports the Fresser's Club comes to an end on June 20, when Joan and Ed retire.

Ed. note: I remember when the place was in Shoppers' World, back when that was a real mall. Even after the move to Natick, you'd often see Ed behind the counter - and Joan behind the cash register. Damn, now I'm hungry for a roast beef on rye.

The Coolidge Corner landmark now serves bad food, which should help free up tables, Local Spice reports:

... One dish, a cheese/apple/bacon omelette was sent back to the kitchen with the waitress, while I somehow ate my Eggs Benedict (with wholly cooked eggs, btw), and left the hard-as-a-rock homefries on the plate.
