The Rockport Legion Band announces the dates for their annual holiday programs. There will be two performances, the first on Friday, December 3 at the Rockport Methodist Church; the second on Thursday, December 9 at the Rockport Congregational Church.. Both programs will begin at 7:00 P.M. Please join us either night for an evening of holiday music and good cheer.
On Sunday, August 22, the Rockport Legion Band welcomes Creagan More Pipes and Drums for a joint concert on the bandstand at Rockport's Back Beach. The 7:00 P.M. program is free to the public and will be the second year that the two groups have joined forces. Last year's performance received rave reviews, and we expect that this performance will equal the last. If you like the pipes, you should not miss this show.
The Rockport Legion Band will present the seventh concert of its 2010 Summer Series on Sunday, August 22 at 7:00 P.M. The concert features Celtic music and special guests the Creagan More Pipes and Drums; it will be held on the bandstand at Rockport's Back Beach.
This concert series is the seventy-seventh consecutive set of free, public programs that the band has presented. Refreshments will be available, but remember to bring your own seating (chairs or a blanket).
