Space for lease in the BPL main library in Copley Square

J. Patience was startled by the retail-lease sign on the side of the new wing of the under-renovation BPL main library in Copley Square.

Earlier this month, BPL trustees issued an RFP for companies interested in leasing the space, at the corner of Boylston and Exeter in the under-renovation Johnson wing.

The Herald reports on the battle between the BPL board of trustees, who think it's dandy to decorate the main library with Christmas wreathes, and a Back Bay resident who wants to supplement the wreathes with a menorah.

Green Line service turned into a complete oxymoron this morning when a trolley died. The T rolled in substitute buses between Kenmore and Park. At 11 a.m., Zach Tucker tweeted:

3 dark trolleys sitting at Copley IB, no MBTA CSA's anywhere to explain to clueless tourists.

UPDATE: At 1 p.m., the T announced resumption of normal service, but, naturally, with residual delays.
