Campaign roundup: Radio station charges for interviews, Cahillgate and the debate equivalent of clapping with one hand

None dare call it journalism: A radio station in Lowell charges $490 for candidates who want to blather on one of its talk shows.

The Globe rounds up the latest on Cahillgate and posts some of the more entertaining e-mails. The Herald highlights the Republican counter-charge: A demand that Martha Coakley investigate alleged politicking by treasury workers. At the Herald, Holly Robichaud advises Cahill to shut the F up.

In the "Oh, sure, that's easy for him to say now" dept., Charlie Baker pledged no new tolls.

Republican Auditor candidate Mary Connaughton, meanwhile, pledged to audit, audit, audit, which is probably a good thing, since all the auditor does is audit. One of her first targets: An audit into whether eliminating the turnpike authority - on whose board she once sat - really saved any money.

Wanna bet the Tierney/Caribbean betting ring story won't die? The Globe reports the congressman's mother-in-law donated money to him as she was receiving money from the bank account allegedly managed by her daughter for her alleged ne'er-do-well gambling-kingpin brother. Marjorie Arons-Barron ponders whether the whole thing is enough to get un-birther Willliam Hudak elected.

The Patriot-Ledger takes a look at the candidates for the 10th Congressional District race who aren't Jeff Perry or Bill Keating.

What if you throw a debate but only one candidate shows up?
