Dryer fire burns one, displaces six in East Boston

The Boston Fire Department reports a one-alarm fire that started in a dryer around 7:30 a.m. at 510 Bennington St. did an estimated $125,000 in damage after it spread from the basement to the first floor.

One resident suffered burns and one firefighter was treated for a hand injury, the department reports. Two adults and four children were displaced.

Sucks that people were injured and displaced, but I'm going to hazard (get it?) a guess from my days as an insurance company slave and say that something was probably involved that shouldn't have been dried, like rubber or Tyvek or similar.

Thanks for your suggestion insurance company slave, but nothing was put in the dryer as you think it was. It was my brother's house and think you should be more sympathetic, especially when you start off your email with "sucks that people were displaced but..." Should have just left it at Sucks that people were displaced, cuz it does and I don't think anyone would ever ask for something like this to happen.
