Hyde Park pub that never opened could finally open under new owner and name

The Bulletin Newspapers report C.F. Donovan's on Hyde Park Avenue has been sold to a Dorchester businessman who plans to finally open the place, years after original owner Arthur Donovan first got city permission - and a $300,000 city loan, to replicate his Savin Hill restaurant there.

The bank in charge of what's left of Donovan's collapsed business sold the rights to the restaurant to Richard Jerrier, the Bulletin reports, adding it's unlikely the city will ever get any of its money back.
