Kitchen fire in Financial District restaurant

The Boston Fire Department responded to a fire in the ductwork at Houston's, 60 State St., around 1 p.m. As a precaution, the first five floors of the building were evacuated.

About $500,000, BFD reports. Workers on the first five floor were allowed back in at 2:15; the restaurant, however, remains closed pending building and food inspections.
