I can so relate
...having had 2 ER trips in the past 3 weeks and a number of tests. Sigh. It's dehumanizing and there seems to be a general lack of communication among the members of the team and with the patient. Seems easy enough to stop back and talk without just staring at the computer all the time.
What you say is very true, Kathode, but more to the point,
the high, high incidence of hospital-related MRSA (methacillin resistant staphylococcuys aureus) infections are more of a reason why most people don't want to be sick in a hospital.
Aaaand this is the reason why
I'm not interested in paying for health insurance.

Not having health insurance makes you never have to go to the ER?

I'm just saying that I'm not interested in paying for crap, that's all.
Next time I'm sick, I'll drive to New Brunswick. I don't give a (expletive.)

Instituted limitations to residents work hours recently.
If that be the case, then kudos to the State of Mass.
for doing the right thing. I hope these work hours limitations apply to other hospital workers in addition to residents.
