Meat as far as the eye can see

The Small Boston Kitchen is loving the Meat House, a new meaterie in Coolidge Corner.

The star of the store is undoubtedly the enormous meat cases that line the left hand side of the store. Rows and rows of salivation inducing brightly blushing meats of varying size and shape and all at very reasonable prices are the main draw here. From specialty cuts and marinaded meat and seafood, this is the place to go for your old standby steak or to try something a little different, like spinach and feta stuffed pork.

Boucherie, like boulangerie

The word is boucherie. Though to be fair Startpage (who does not sniff your shorts as Google does) produces 139 hits for meaterie, once the millions of hits for Metairie are filtered out.

But then, thinking again. Maybe a store with a plodding name like "The Meat Store" deserves an epithet like "meaterie."
