Surgeon General to walk around Boston Common on Friday

Between 12:15 and 1 p.m. Carey Goldberg reports it's part of an effort to encourage people to get off their asses and walk.

Isn't this counterproductive? All the Surgeon General is going to do is meet people that are already off their asses walking about.
