Wishing for the Wursthaus

Doug Holder pens a poem as he pines for a beer at the long gone Harvard Square restaurant - and for "the bits of wisdom old man Cardullo spit from his cigar-studded mouth."

We all pine for the Wursthaus, particularly for its beer.
What better place to go after BSO or Pops for a night cap?
Good waitresses were known on occasion to go down to Wursthaus' cellar on request for a rare German beer not on the menu.

Doug does go back a ways. Missing Francis/Frances regardless, the square is not the same.

Presumably the poet is referring to Frank N. Cardullo, the founder of the gourmet shop dynasty and owner of the Wursthaus, and not to Frank R., who only became Frances in 2003.
