Lucky to be alive: Man suffers only broken leg when hit by train in West Roxbury

Brian D'Amico and Dan Adams report a guy was hit by a train around 8:30 p.m. on the Needham Line tracks between Home Depot and the West Roxbury Education Complex.

Lucky fellow. On a semi-related note, I almost took the Needham line to Boston tonight, but it was too cold, and the 37 bus was right there...lucky I did, I'm sure the train got delayed.

I live in Needham (and can hear the trains). I wondered why all the trains were so close together last night. Glad this person is relatively ok.
