No more Chicopee Herald

The Teamsters have signed off on a plan under which dogs will lie down with cats the Globe will print a bunch of copies of the Herald and 50 union members will lose their jobs. Presumably, the deal, which means savings for the Herald and new income for the Globe, also means freak snowstorms will no longer stop the Herald presses, or if they do, the Globe will pick up the slack.

Think of how many people the Globe will have to employ to scissor out Howie's column three days a week.

It looks like only the 3 star Herald will be printed at The Globe. The Herald story you link to says: "From Sunday through Friday, most Herald copies will still be printed at a Chicopee plant and distributed by wholesalers, including some controlled by the Globe."

Good news for those who like those west coast scores in print, for sure.

I guess I was too distracted by the descriptions in the story about how vibrant and super-peachy-keen the Herald's new headquarters in the stunningly marvelous Innovation District will be.

You mean that one sentence in a ten paragraph story? Exactly how would you rewrite the article?
