Another day, another person on Orange Line tracks

Orange Line service was halted around 8:45 this morning as police worked to remove a guy who for some reason decided to get on the tracks at Haymarket.

I hope the guy wasn't hurt or anything, but my commute did suck a little bit this morning. Had to pay for a cab from Back Bay. Not the worst thing in the world, but still...

Oh! I've been wondering what happened... I was on a really full train on the orange line at Back Bay this morning when the MBTA announcement came on saying "this train will be standing by" because of something at Haymarket. Then a few minutes later the announcer said that they didn't know how long the train would be "standing by" and suggested that people could go take the green line instead. So along with a few thousand people, I left the orange line and walked to Copley to take the green line. So of course I was REALLY late.

I've never heard the MBTA suggest that people transfer to another line that isn't even at the same station.
