Boston Restaurant Talk reports the Parlour on Centre Street is now an ex-pizza place.
That's too bad. The food was yummy but the pizzas were too small for the price so we didn't go there often.
I must have walked by that place ten times and never saw a single person in there. There was no marketing or advertising as far as I saw.
I heard some good things about the place but hadn't made it there yet. I feel bad for the owners, they put a lot of $$ into that place.
The one time that I visited the Parlour I found the food to be mediocre, the facility dirty, and the prices high. I guess others felt that way too.
They'd only been open a few months. I guess West Roxbury is at its pizza place saturation point.
But lot's of average sloppy pizza. It would be nice to have an actual pizza parlour that thought more about quality than quantity with an atmosphere that would be inviting enough to make you want to sit there and enjoy a pizza and beer in public.
and MESS rock!
