The Animal Rescue League reports one of its technicians went on a call to Framingham today:
This raccoon in Framingham found its way into a chimney and all the way down to the base next to the fireplace.
Poor Everyone Involved. I should probably look it up, but, what happens to such nuisance wildlife when they are rescued here? (In some other states, they have to kill and provide evidence of said kill.)
I don't know what happens with every animal, but I do know that ARL transfers many raccoons, possum, etc. to a rescue called ARC: http://new-arc.org
There are issues with the trap and release business, but am sort of glad that the little bugger gets a chance to see another day.
Moral of the story: Cap your chimneys, folks!
Laveur has something to do with cleaning, if I'm not mistaken ... so how can they be both dirty and clean?

Is that an oxymoron?
