Boston fire moves pretty fast. That fire was spreading to a boat yard and pier next door and they put it out fast.

That area has not been cleaned since the 1960s, city owned property, poorly managed! What happened to the harbor walk, is the land and piers behind Liberty market/Marshalls a/k/a Woolworths/Leechee Garden is that area blocked off to the public, or is it part of the Harbor walk. You definately won't see that area as a newly developed park, like piers park. City of Boston won't fund it, that's why it's still the way it has always been for decades, it's not on the city's priority list, If it was owned by massport , it would be a different story.

The City of Boston should sell or lease that entire waterfront land parcel behind the marshalls dept store at Liberty plaza to whoever owns that entire commercial building. There is a lot of land back behind the kappys liquor store/Marshalls, a lot of potential, could turn something better than what it is now.

All the waterfront around Boston harbor which include north end, Charlestown, longwharf, south Boston, even Chelsea's waterfront and piers have all been modernized, this section of waterfront has been put on the shelf for many years.
