Boch, owner of the league-leading Boston Militia of the Women's Football Alliance, yesterday announced the end of the team:
It is with heavy heart that I announce the discontinuation of the Boston Militia. The limited numbers of teams in the Northeast has resulted in a reduced schedule over the last few years, causing the professional level of competition to decline.

Will some wealthy woman please step up to sponsor the team?
This is a travesty that one of the best women's teams in the country is going to go away because the boy's club won't pay for it.
Not enough competitors
They are really in a 4 team division right now. They played the same 3 teams 3 times each last season (plus a couple of forfeits) and then got San Diego in the finals.
Sounds like the money needs to come from some other teams first. That's a lot of effort to beat up on the same teams repeatedly (only DC ever put up a good fight).

If you want equality, then why just have the women try out for the NFL?

I never heard about this team....not once.
That's because...
...he didn't have a song written for them where you hear the full team name over and over and over again, in the mode of the masturbatory "Ernie Bock Junior - Everything You're Looking For" song.
Shows where his priorities lie.
Can he fold his band?
And his billboards
And his appearances in Boston Magazine?
And his appearances on Phantom Gourmet
Showing up on TV to show how you fly to NYC in your own private jet for dinner does not make me want to buy a car from you. It makes me think you have a little too much already.
Over-exposed much?
Take down Herb's while you're at it.
The smug & self important Herb Chambers billboards send me into a blind date rage.
