Jed Hresko noticed these campaign posters in Jackson Square yesterday for two congressional candidates in the May 15 elections in the Dominican Republic. Both businessmen are running for seats set aside for Dominicans abroad, under the banner of the Partido Reformista Social Cristiano. Roslindale, of course, is home to the Boston regional headquarters for Danilo Medina, the incumbent president and leader of the Partido de la Liberación Dominicana.

So when will Trump campaign
posters start showing up in neighborhoods in Montreal, London, and Tokyo?
maybe when it becomes ironic or hip?
Dominican expats in the US are invested in their elections and will vote/participate so the posters and regional campaign offices make sense.
US expats outside of the US are not the standard demographic for Trump supporters, especially those working in areas where Trump's protectionist tariff/trade-barrier language would affect their job directly.
US-based Trump supporters are unlikely to have passports or travel outside of 'murica in large numbers if you believe the demographic studies that are coming out. There are outliers of course (I work with some) but they are sorta rare.
So the Trump posters will go up overseas only when some hipster or lazy artist decides to make a statement
