Body found in East Boston identified as fifth murdered Central American teen since fall 2015

Boston Police report the teen found dead, apparently of stab wounds, near East Boston Memorial Stadium Christmas eve was Luis Fernando Orellano Ruano, 18. They identified his origin only as Central America.

He is the fifth Central American teenager to be murdered in East Boston since September, 2015. Police have yet to identify a sixth teen found dead in Belle Isle Marsh in November.

East Boston residents hold a vigil at the stadium starting at 5 p.m. tomorrow.
