For all the criticism t-workers get, when the s**t hits the fan they work like clockwork to get service up and running. Kudos to Boston Fire and Police during these subway accidents.

I was very glad to hear that the man is alive - when we were let off the train and told to leave the station, I was fairly convinced (as I'm sure a number of us were, given the presence of so many police/EMT's etc entering the station) that we had run over someone and killed them.

This is the kind of incident that is horrid enough when one merely hears about it in the news - I have to admit I was pretty shaken at the possibility that someone had just lost their life under the train I was riding on, and I am relieved to find out he's (assumedly) ok.

I hope we will find out more details about how this guy ended up on the tracks in the first place.

We also saw a woman, who I assume had been the T driver, led into an ambulance - I don't know if there were any injuries involved for her, but I can imagine she was also pretty shaken by what happened. Especially as the T police are saying "no foul play is suspected," my heart goes out to her - I can't imagine what was/is going through her mind due to this accident.

Though the scene was, as would be expected, confusing and somewhat chaotic, and the shuttle bus situation was very inadequate for many of us waiting at Broadway station, etc, I do appreciate that the police/firemen/EMTs/etc were doing their best to keep things calm and professional. Obviously this was not something anyone had been planning on.
