The MBTA reports it's suspended service on the Orange Line between Back Bay and North Station, and is running buses between Forest Hills and Back Bay due to what it calls a "power problem" at Back Bay or what people who don't speak transitese might call "a track fire".

Update, 10:05 a.m.: The T has just completely suspended service between Kenmore and Government Center.

The MBTA reports a "power problem" near Boylston is causing 30-minute delays on the Green Line, which downtown means you'd be better off just walking.

Box of abandoned peaches on Hereford Street

A concerned citizen filed a 311 report this morning about a box of peaches just sitting there on Hereford Street, between Newbury and Comm. Ave. The city has marked the complaint "closed," adding, "Resolved. Fruit picked up." No word if Public Works will be making some peach cobbler now.
