People actually lined up for the opening of the Microsoft Store
By adamg on Thu, 08/23/2012 - 8:16am
Wes Teasdale photographed the line outside the grand opening of the Microsoft Store at the Pru at 7 a.m. today. No doubt, most people were eagerly awaiting their shot at the latest Windows Phones, rather than the 1,000 Lenny Kravitz tickets Microsoft was giving away.

whatever floats your boat
It's a social event for people who aren't busy, I guess.

Went by there last night. Think I caught a virus of some kind.

Walked by at 9am
They were estimating about 300 people lined up. There is DJ to keep people entertained. I also heard they were giving away gift bags to the first 1000, but that is not confirmed.
People can mock the idea of a Microsoft store
but I'll bet you can form a Flash mob there, unlike the Apple Store.

Play him off, keyboard cat.
Exit, stage left.

End of Retail Watch.
I expect more brands will be following Apple, Sony and MS; while we see a resurgence of small, local, high-end specialty stores.
Lenny Kravitz is still a
Lenny Kravitz is still a thing? Last time I saw his name, it was because he was some celebrity's boyfriend.
I'm sorry
but that's retarded. I'm not remotely new agey or a commie, but the pretentiousness and crass materialism in our society is even getting to me. And some up and coming nations and societies are far worse than American when it comes to obsession with materialistic things.
Still a mob scene
I just walked past a few minutes ago.
Total zoo.
