Kate snapped this shot of Bill Clinton coming out of the Mandarin Oriental late this afternoon. Naturally, Boylston Street was shut down while Clinton sauntered from hotel to wherever it was he was going (he was at Berklee earlier in the day).
you'll only read about Ernie Boch, Jr and the queen of green, Enza Sambataro. Then you'll see mentions of George Regan, Alan Solomont, Ming Tsai,Todd English, and the Nick and Nora of Boston, Ben Mezrich and his lovely wife, what's-her-name.
Also, I don't think you'll see the two gossip sows at a 20K a plate dinner anytime soon. They're used to the $9.99 a plate buffet.
...but we close a street for a guy who's not even the President anymore? Doesn't anybody in this city have the balls to tell anybody in Washington to (expletive) off?
Menino endorsed Brown at the DNC and then a week later changed his tune to endorse Warren. For a guy that is used to running the city as a personal fiefdom to change course that quickly tells you someone much higher up on the food chain is putting the squeeze on. Menino likely got a nasty phone call over the endorsement fiasco and is playing it safe with the national party to avoid any unpleasant consequences.
No, I watched the DNC and during an interview at the start of the convention he endorsed Brown as someone he works with all the time. The interviewer seemed just as shocked as you are.

I'd love to know who's there. Maybe the crones at the Inside Track will have some bold names tomorrow.
Well, if you count on them for coverage

Look at the pic- his handler's trying to lead him the right way and the old hound can't help. He can parctuically smell Warren Towers from there.
