It's nice to know that
I think this comment in that story was very funny lol.
What is it with all of these politicians that think just because their parents or other family members did the job well that they should be elected as well.
I found it crude. The
I found it crude. The article said nothing of him embarking upon that journey for that reason. Maybe he wants to make an impact via public service. Cynicism can be one helluva drug.
Of course it doesnt, whats
Of course it doesnt, whats the article going to say "Hey this was a great gig for my father and now Im joining the family business?
Confused
Some people seem to just get upset over anything. I have a son if he grows up and decided he wants to become a teacher like his father, Id be proud not cynical about it. So Jr grew up and decided he wanted to run for political office like his father, that doesn't mean he'd be the same politician or even that he'd win for that matter. My question is since when did wanting to follow in the steps of your father whether he's a firemen, preacher, athlete, teacher, doctor or politician become something to look down upon? It happens in all walks of life politics being no different. Some of the children do better jobs (Ken Griffey Jr) some worse (Tom Menino Jr) some stink just like their fathers (George W)
For me the jury is still out on Jr, but only because I want to see what he is about. And want to know that he wants the job more then his father seemed to, but not because hes the son of a politician.
Could be a good guy, but burdened with an unfortunate name
His father got a rep as a do-nothing.
Isn't Felix Arroyo involved in the Wilkerson scandal?
I read in several places and heard on Michelle McPhee's WTTK radio show, that the U.S. Attorney Michael Sullivan subpoenaed Felix Arroyo for being involved in the Diane Wilkerson bribery scandal involving DeJaVu getting a liquor licence.
Dejavu all over again
Nah, Felix was supposed to get a bribe, but he didn't show up.
Yep. Felix has an alibi - he
Yep. Felix has an alibi - he was in Venezuela at the time.
He was too in looooove
and he couldn't get involved at that time.
Subpoena, and mere association don't mean guilt
I bet pretty much every elected city official had some contact with Wilkerson. Doesn't mean they're guilty of anything.
