A "decorative painter" gets to live on Beacon Hill in a place with a "butler's pantry"? That lamp in one of the photos costs more than my monthly rent.
the "burden" of being rich lies in finding the "right" decorative painter like the person who is blogging. Do it right and you end up with a "brand name" decorative painter and you can tell your friends "I had BIGNAME do my butler's pantry". Bonus points if you are early on the curve and discover BIGNAME before your friends can compete for his or her services.
When I read the linked entry, I took "project" to mean "paying client" not "DIY". I don't envy her the job, though - I had to paint a butler's pantry in a back bay brownstone in late August and it wasn't fun.
