Dead whale washes up on Revere Beach
By adamg on Fri, 09/21/2018 - 11:48am
State Police report on the 25-foot-long carcass. The New England Aquarium reports the carcass is that of a whale that had earlier washed up on a beach in Cohasset. This sort of wandering-whale-carcass thing has happened before.

Quite a few whales at Revere Beach!
first clams now a whale
Didn't ton's of dead clams just wash up on Revere Beach last week? They were buried on the beach to reduce the odor that was getting unbearable. I hope they won't be trying the same solution for the whale!
Classic Cohasset
This whale was already towed off of a rich community's beaches, only to end up in Revere.
A clear act of decomposing cetacean injustice!
Hate to break it to you
but they're burying the whale right now

One of these days you'll suprise us with a post that doesn't reek of CRANKY OLD MAN!
Legalize the sale of whale
Legalize the sale of whale oil from beached carcasses (have the state auction the rights at each discovery) and the market will take care of the rest.
And next thing you'll know
we'll have two guys from Malden saying "No, we didn't drag that whale from the ocean. It just washed up in our driveway."

Come for the dead clams
Stay for the dead whale!
There's another one in the harbor
It washed up on Little Brewster Island this morning, right in front of the lighthouse.

Somebody was worried about the whale recently seen breaching in the harbor due to it being such a busy port. Maybe their fears were well founded.
As my husband said so eloquently many years ago..
The first time we shared 420 in Newport.. "Whales can't walk, they don't have feet!"
Adorable!*
