Man shot in East Boston park

In Lombardi Park, at London Street and Cunard Way, shortly before 9:45 p.m.

The homicide unit was called in, just in case, due to the severity of the victim's injuries.

Some shell casings were found at Maverick and London streets.

Officers from downtown and Chelsea were brought in for crowd control in the park, which Live Boston reports has "recently become a hotspot of loud late night parties, large violent fights and gang activity."
