Man charged as gun-toting crack and fentanyl dealer as BPD tries to crack down in Nubian Square

Boston Police report the arrest of a Dorchester man on drug and gun charges in Nubian Square as part of a crackdown spurred by the rise of opioid overdoses in the square.

Police report officers from the citywide and District B-3 drug units went undercover yesterday to make drug buys and arrested Anthony Davis, 56, of Dorchester, on charges of distribution of Class A and B drugs, distribution of Class A and B drugs with intent to distribute, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.

Police say they seized 6 grams of crack, 8 grams of fentanyl and a Bersa BP9CC gun with 8 rounds in the magazine.
