Update: Bail set at $5,000 but he has to stay at home with a GPS monitor on except for 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Weds.-Sun. so he can go to a job in Maine, DA says. Ordered to stay drug and alcohol free and to surrender his passport.

Boston Police report arresting an East Boston man on several drug charges today at the Victory Gardens apartment building, 54 Orleans St. in East Boston.

Robert Ciampi, 63, was arrested on warrants obtained as part of an investigation by BPD drug units in both East Boston and West Roxbury shortly after 11 a.m., police say. In addition to arresting Ciampi, officers also seized 242 grams of fentanyl, 65 grams of cocaine, 13 grams of crack, 15 pounds of marijuana, hallucinogenic mushrooms and roughly $8,000 in cash, police say.

Ciampi was charged with trafficking of Class A drugs, trafficking of Class B drug, possession of Class B drugs with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, police say.
