Boston Police report a security guard at the Boston Harbor Hotel, a Homeland Security agent and a passerby teamed up yesterday evening to detain a man they say was trying to flee his wrecked car after he'd smashed several cars near the hotel, injuring at least one person. Read more.

UPDATE, 10:28 p.m. Roads, T stop being re-opened.

Police surrounded the New England Center and Home for Veterans on Court Street and shut down surrounding streets, the State Street T stop and part of City Hall Plaza as they investigated a possible threat made by one person around 9:45 p.m. The person was quickly taken into custody, but the bomb squad was requested to check out his back pack.
