City considers shutting Back Bay restaurant over New Year's melee

Vlora could be gone-a. Seems the city is a tad upset at how workers padlocked the front of the restaurant so cops couldn't get in when they got a report of a sexual assault early on New Year's Day and so the licensing board is considering whether to shut the place down. Oh, yeah, there's also the matter of the owner, who takes pride in embracing the true Mediterranean lifestyle, allegedly taking a swing at the cops when they finally got in and a bartender pulling a knife on police. Even the joint's lawyer acknowledges some "poor judgment" that night.

Just a misunderstanding, owner says.
