There's this cool new fountain on the Greenway near the Aquarium and Milk Street. It has holes arranged in a series of concentric eccentric circles. At random, water shoots out of a different group of holes. The water rises 10 feet or so, the kids rush over and a ton of water falls on their heads. They do need to cycle down the chlorine a tad, though.

Neat
Sounds neat. I'll have to check it out the next time I'm in the area.
Is the water recycled?
Recycled water?
I don't know for a fact, but given the amount of chlorine in it (last night, went into kidlet's room and it smelled like a pool from her wet top in her hamper), I'm guessing yes.
Very cool indeed
I went to a function at the Boston Harbor Hotel last night, and saw this fountain as we were walking over from Aquarium station. Our attention was first drawn by the sound of kids shrieking as though they were on an amusement park ride - the fountain was packed with folks enjoying the fun.
Another view
Greg MacKay also visited the fountain.
Being nitpicky: the circles
Being nitpicky: the circles are eccentric.
Hey adamg, how about a
Hey adamg, how about a correction? They're not concentric circles, as described above.
Done
I have corrected for the odd fact that they are eccentric :-).
Thanks!
