Your headline made me think there was some post-thaw flooding in Kenmore. Glad it was just a sports page blooper.

I like it. When in doubt, blame the T. It's usually their fault anyway. :-)

The way it's worded made it sound to me like the game would be played on opposite sides of the river. That's one heck of a rink!

Sounds like they'll play on a really challenging rink with a river running through the middle of the rink

It's not really a River, but it does run between BU and Northeastern. Though seems a fairly poor barrier because you could get from BU to Northeastern by driving over that part that's underground. And there are multiple bridges...

These tournament games are all played at The Garden. I think the article writer just has no idea what he's talking about. The four teams in the Beanpot are always Harvard, BU, BC, and Northeastern. The only one "across the Charles" is Harvard (meaning the campus/school and not where they play their games). They played BU this year in the first round of the single elimination tournament. BU is the best team in the nation right now (and Northeastern is #3). There was next to no way that he'd have expected or written ahead planning for Harvard to make it and then had to switch up to BU at the last minute.

So, he just has zero concept of where BU and/or Northeastern are in the city. Ah well. The game was great though! But Northeastern played some of the worst power play hockey I've ever seen. It cost them the game by giving up 3 short handed goals to BU. Both sides had some great opportunities, good defense, and good skating...both of these teams could easily hold their own against some of the worst NHL teams out there. The Hockey East tournament and the Frozen Four are going to be awesome this year.
