Let's call it Venice Crossing
How about calling it Venice Crossing?
This could really revitalize the Downtown Crossing.
We could cross through the "canal-like" flooded streets with Gondolas.
Waterfire, too!
And they could turn the Filene's Hole into a swimming pool in the summer and a skating rink in the winter.
Just what Downtown Crossing needed
Something to cross.
They can relocate the lifeguard chairs from Boylston Beach. Stock the hole with carp. Pretend it's a tradition.

Piles of dirt and rocks were washed all the way to Essex and Washington. Avenue de Lafayette looked like a sandbox tonight.
