Last summer I was taking pictures of the some bronze sculptures on an office building downtown. The Security Guy came out and asked me to stop. I asked why, I was on a sidewalk and there was nothing nefarious about taking a picture of something in plain view. He said "You never know". I pressed him and said "know what"? I explained that it was pretty obvious what I was doing and if he really thought I was a threat he could call a real cop since I wasnt trespassing. He went back inside and I walked away, such a paranoid and silly world sometimes.

I was attending the Wine Expo at the Seaport World Trade Center and was taking pictures of the architecture as seen from the path between the WTC and the Seaport Hotel. Same thing - the WTC security guys told me it was illegal to take a picture of the WTC. If it was so illegal why didn't they look at my pictures and make me delete them?
