Thanks.

today's Globe made the same error!

By Ron Newman | Tue, 07/07/2009 - 6:48am

on page B2: "The woman was trespassing near the Glendale Avenue bridge when she was hit about 12:30 pm, MBTA spokeswoman Lydia Rivera said."

(I wonder if the WCVB article was also wrong when you first linked to it.)

I grew up near that bridge. Its Greendale and a female was killed there 2-3 years ago. You can fit yourself in between the train and the bridge. Kids do it for a thrill; called a train run. Don't know if this is what happened.

female killed by train

I'm from Canada and it was my sister who was killed by the train. They said she was walking near the Greendale bridge. Did she have to walk far to get onto the tracks? She had been severely depressed for a while and placed her on the tracks. Was this something she would have had to pre-plan? Any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.\
