Mission Hill residents shot with tasers in home invasion

Boston Police tweet that residents at 198 Hillside St. on Mission Hill were shot with tasers around 7:30 p.m. today by armed home invaders.

taser cartridge serialization

Hopefully this will be a one-off. Word on the street is that the cartridges are serialized, making perpetrator identification straightforward?
But does anyone know if that has actually worked?
