Anybody running against Mike Capuano?

Andy lives in Michael Capuano's district. After reading a John Kerry apologia for Capuano's Brazil trip today, he no longer wants to vote for him:

... I think that if Democrats try in one breath to call for reform and point to Delay as horribly corrupt but in the other breath defend the blatantly stupid decision by Capuano as an aberration we will immediately lose our edge as reformers and look like silly, partisan hacks. Representative Capuano may represent the people of his district well but in this current climate of corruption he has spectacularily failed us and for that we need to think twice about who we send to Washington in November.

But is enough?

As one of Capuano's constituents, I've found him extremely proactive, informed, and brave within a political climate where few are. I've written him many times, over a range of topics; he has always been responsive and considerate, and I've found his monthly e-mail bulletins about recent house votes and upcoming town meetings highly informative. I don't know that throwing the baby out with the bath-water is the right way to respond to these recent revelations.

The new arrivals to Cambridge and Somerville need to delve back further into Mike's background as Mayor of Somerville. He's got some closets that need to be opened. You'll need oxygen masks, the air will smell.
