Patrick campaign turns to bloggers for testimonial policy

A few weeks back, the Deval Patrick Web site posted a "testimonial" video that turned out to be from his campaign co-chairwoman (which became news after the Hub Politics guys sussed her out).

Now the Patrick campaign has asked the readers of Blue Mass. Group for help in writing a "transparency" policy for future testimonials.

On the one hand, most cool - it's smart to reach out to the online crowd and even agree to follow their advice on online stuff. On the other hand, um, guys, is this really that hard to figure out? If somebody's your campaign co-chairwoman, do you need an official policy to decide that not identifying her will create certain issues?

Hub Politics is shocked, shocked, that it wasn't asked for its opinion, but opens up its floor for suggestions anyway.
