A group of Roslindale residents meet on Wednesday to figure out how to keep the neighborhood inclusive, including, if it comes to it, how to "protect ourselves and our neighbors from harmful federal policies."

The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Roslindale Congregational Church, 25 Cummins Highway.

At peace and unity rally in Roslindale

About 200 Roslindale residents gathered in a blustery wind at Adams Park this afternoon to comfort each other and begin to figure out what comes next after this month's election.

Rabbi Matt Soffer of Temple Israel - and a Roslindale resident - cited the story of Abraham, who, on seeing strangers outside his tent, rushed to bring them in and comfort them, in calling on residents to protect each other. Read more.

New playground at Fallon Field in Roslindale

Workers unwrapped the new playground at Fallon Field yesterday and word quickly got out - kids and parents swarmed the place well after sunset. Chris Kollett, one of the parents who pushed for the revamp, as part of an effort to get more play spaces in the neighborhood, took a bunch of photos today, including one from the very top of the slide - the longest in Boston: Read more.

A group of Roslindale residents are organizing a unity gathering in Adams Park on Sunday.

Join with neighbors to gather in peace and solidarity, and to stand up and speak out against violence and hate across the city, state, and country.

We are a diverse, connected community - this is a concrete way to show that we will support and care for each other in the face of fear and anger.

Crashed U-Haul in Roslindale

Sean Owen was awoken by a crash around 4:30 a.m. on Alder Street, when a U-Haul came flying down the street and then crashed into a yard. For some reason, the driver didn't stick around to wait for police.

Not one but two concerned citizens report "politically inflammatory" graffiti scrawled on the walls and surface of the Fallon Field street-hockey rink overnight, such as "Hillary for Prison" and "Clinton killed Americans."

Let's Wait - 3 Drinks in Love [Official Video]

This past summer, Let's Wait spent two nights in Roslindale Square, filming a music video, "3 Drinks in Love" - including inside the soon to be gone Jerusalem Trading.

You can watch and hear them live on Thursday at Thunder Road in Somerville.

And that makes two entries in the Roslindale song list, along with Roslindale by Birdbrain.

Barely 200 people pay for the Transcript in Roslindale

A reader of GateHouse's Transcript took a look at the annual circulation form in the paper the other week and was shocked to see how few people now take the paper: In a neighborhood of roughly 30,000 people - about 12,000 households - barely more than 200 people now subscribe (and only 8 people bought it at a newsstand).

A West Roxbury Municipal Court judge set bail at $500,000 each today for Luis Colon, 24, of Lawrence, and Eric Rosado-Gonzalez, 25, of Dorchester on charges related to the shootout on Newburg Street yesterday that involved two state troopers - one of whom authorities said had a loaded gun put to his head at one point.
