I have a wallet and could only find the address. I would rather not put much money or effort into it.

Found in the Common rummaged through and placed on top of a trash can. Against my better judgment I picked it up. Tried to give it to a busy bpd bike officer who suggested I call it in (told me to call 911 at first, lol). After 30min of waiting for a cruiser I gave up. Unfortunately still with possession of the wallet. Any reasonable suggestions?

Summer Street in Boston in the snow and cold

State officials urged people to stay home this morning, and it seems like a lot of people heeded that.

Paul Villanova put on his warm clothes this morning to take photos of an empty Summer Street in Fort Point (above) and an equally empty and windswept Dewey Square:

Boston Magazine takes a look at some data on how we get to work:

While many Boston metro area commuters are near the national average of 25.4 minutes, some take far longer: Workers in Scituate and Norwell, for example, average more than 35 minutes, as do those living in Mattapan. Some neighborhoods in the Back Bay, Cambridge, and the Financial District, meanwhile, are looking at commutes around 20 minutes or under.
