A clucked off resident cries fowl about a pair of roosters on Holly Road in Roslindale:
Neighbor has two roosters in their unenclosed yard. Animal control told me roosters are illegal in Boston. They are loud and obnoxious and have started to enter other yards.
On Neponset Valley Parkway between Albermarle and Buckingham streets around 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, NBC Boston reports.
Looks like Hyde Park might need some more "Deer Crossing" signs. Kristin Shoemaker, who lives near the George Wright Golf Course, found this tableau in her backyard this morning.

John Mentor, 32, of Hyde Park, is scheduled for arraignment in West Roxbury court this afternoon on four counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and various firearms offenses, because the leg wound he got after being shot by at least one officer yesterday evening was not serious enough to keep him in the hospital, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports. Police are on Westminster Street between Huntington Avenue and Manion Road, where Mass Incident Paging and Scan Boston report police shot a suspect in the leg. WFXT reports the suspect was shooting at some people when an officer arrived on scene - and the guy pointed his gun at him.
An argument and fight on the street yesterday afternoon ended with a man bleeding to death inside a Hyde Park Avenue barber shop, prosecutors say. Read more.
Mackenson Henry, 41, was fatally stabbed late this afternoon inside La Familia barber shop, 1205 Hyde Park Ave., near the Auto Zone. A suspect was arrested not long after. Read more.
While driving in hyde park, many drivers had to stop or speed up to get a head start in an attempt to grab a dog running in and out of traffic. At least 5 -6 vehicles were in pursuit with the unspoken team effort to save this poor dog. As cars stop in one both lanes, people jump out collectively. The dog b-lines across the street to avoid strangers, the same time one impatiant drive cuts around worried drivers who stopped and watched, he floors the gas and crushes the dog. Who then limps toward a small crowd for help crying uncontrollably.
Chris Dunn shows us the scene on Metropolitan Avenue in Hyde Park around 7:30 p.m. Around the same time, on the other side of the train tracks, in Roslindale, a car went up in flames on Cornell Street between Poplar and Kittredge.
