Memorial Day flags on Boston Common

Brooks Payne visited the field of flags planted in front of the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial on the Common to commemorate the more than 37,000 Massachusetts service members who have given their lives since the Revolution.

Missing dog

Update: Rose McNugget found, OK.

A dog walker walking a dog in the area of Mt. Vernon and Walnut streets on Beacon Street had the dog stolen today by two guys who got away in a blue Civic. Rose is 9 years old and weighs 11 lbs.

The owner of 151 Charles St. on Beacon Hill yesterday sued the owner of the neighboring 149 Charles St., for what it says is illegal digging in that building's basement, which it claims removed some supports for its building, forcing it to evacuate the tenants who had not already moved after their floors started warping, their walls started cracking and doors and windows stopped closing all the way.
