Eastie has more satellite dishes than any other section of the City. I'm wondering is it because they need to face south and Eastie is on the north side of the City?

No, it's because Eastie (like Chelsea) has a high latino population. Crapcast doesn't offer half the selection of Latino-flavored channels that DirectTV and Dish Network do. (We get flyers all the time from DTV and DishNet in spanish and they do offer far more than Crapcast)

Many homes have more than one dish (which I think is an eye sore but...) because folks are too cheap to get a multiplexer, old dishes that are no longer active, and sometimes you're required to have a separate dish aimed in another direction to get a different channel package (or a more expensive wide-band dish), which is the case for the additional spanish channels.
