Watching Millennium Tower go up

Like most of us, Natalia remembers when Filene's was replaced with the Filene's Memorial Hole. When it started getting filled in with a building, she started taking pictures of Millennium Tower getting built.

Since I worked in downtown and generally carried my camera with me everywhere I went, I decided to start documenting the progress of the tower.

Nice photo essay. It's always nice seeing a long-blocked-off sidewalk come back.

Natalia, Adam,

It would be cool to put these into a movie loop, to have time-lapse photography. My parents and sister are still rolling in their graves because Filene's closed. I'm not too happy about it, either. Great store.

Either one of them probably had a camera pointed on the building from a strategic point capturing just what you're looking for. Maybe ask CBT or who was it, Suffolk?

Hopefully it won't start sinking like the one in San Fran! lol

They've put a weird giant stairway in the plaza area that looks like it doesn't go anywhere. What is the point of it?

I think it's meant to be audience seating for performances held in the plaza. Like bleachers but less playing-field-like.

The Macy's building is a P.O.S.
It needs windows or murals?
