Commuter rail not at its best: Delays to and from north and west

Keolis first reported that train 143 from North Station to Newburyport was 35 to 45 minutes late due to a "mechanical issue," then updated the train was simply canceled and dumped its passengers at Beverly.

Dead train sitting then caused delays for the still functioning trains behind it.

Keolis reported that Train 203 out of Haverhill is 25 to 35 minutes late due to "train traffic and the late arrival of equipment."

Train 406 out of Wachusett, they continue is 20 to 30 minutes late because of a signal problem. Train 408 is stuck in Ayer, with expected 20 to 30 minute delays because of that issue.

… not even a hope of a cool down later in the neighborhood MDC pool, users of public works are out of luck this summer.

That said, I feel I’ve had excellent luck riding the rails the past few months. Hardly a single delay and am glad for the reduced fare on the Rockport line. Is it too much to hope they may continue it through the fall even if the tunnel is repaired on time to help reduce congestion?
Could they please get rid of that traffic jam they created at North Station with the fare gates that make people miss trains and be late exiting on their way out?
Also, I want the 75 cents I did not get back in change for a Charlie Card I bought this morning after trying 4 other machines that didn’t work.
